TIMELESS (REMIXED) VINYL EP

$12.00

Timeless was the live recording of the decade somehow. How else could this dream festival have happened – and have been recorded and filmed so beautifully. Now Timeless has been remixed. Six great producers across genres have taken a bite from each of the concerts and remade the magic.

Te’Amir
Te’Amir, born in Los Angeles, of Ethiopian and Irish decent, grew up around art and music. He is new as a artist/producer but has been busy playing drums and percussion for several LA artists, Aloe Blacc & The Grand Scheme, Mayer Hawthorne & The County, SA-RA, Quadron, Tutu Sweeney & The Brothers Band, A Race Of Angels, U-N-I, Mia Doi Todd. Te’Amir’s first record is entitled “L.A. Soul” which was released to critical acclaim in 2011 – his hotly anticipated follow up “Abyssinia” a journey into Ethiopian Soul will be completed soon. His remix brings Mulatu to Brasil by way of Jamaica.

Georgia Ann Muldrow
Born to musical parents in Los Angeles, California, Georgia Anne Muldrow surrounded by music of all types and origins. To this very day she carries the same spirit. That makes her instrumentation and songwriting so unique. She has worked with trailblazing underground artists such as Dudley Perkins, Rickie Byars Beckwith, Madlib, Wildchild, M. E. D. , Big Pooh, Prince Po, The Visionaries, Casual, Jimetta Rose, and Eagle Nebula as well as commercial artists like Mos Def and Erykah Badu. Georgia is part of the new generation of musicians who can produce, rap and most amazingly sing. She won the World Wide Music Awards Best Jazz Album of the year for her solo album Ocotea in 2011. When we asked her to remix Suite for Ma Dukes she told us “Im going to do it like I was sitting in that night with the Orchestra…”

Jneiro Jarel
For over a decade, Jneiro Jarel (aka Dr. Who Dat?) has provided listeners with an unbelievably eclectic mix of sounds ranging from hip hop, to electronica, to Brazilian funk, to bass music. Often being described as “experimental” and “psychedelic,” Jarel simply calls it “The Viberian Experience”, where various musical styles and influences have beautifully coalesced to become something all it’s own. This artistic approach has garnered him respect and adoration among fans and peers alike, and has served as a conduit for notable creative ventures with labels such as Lex Records and Kindred Spirits. With more monikers than Kool Keith, his collaborations and producer credits are almost too many to mention. Highlights include works with Khujo Goodie (as Willie Isz), DOOM, TV on the Radio, Massive Attack and many more. He is a huge fan of Arthur Verocai and his remix is an homage to Brasilian women.

King Britt
King Britt has been breaking the traditional boundaries and forging a unique path as a producer, musician, DJ, label boss and media revolutionary for over 20 years. King is one of the world’s most respected remixers. He has added his unique touch to hugely diverse range of artists such from Miles Davis, The O’Jays and Curtis Mayfield through to Macy Gray, Solange, Femi Kuti and Everything But The Girl. King Britt's remix of ‘Contemplation’ (Josh One) was nominated for the Dancestar Remix Of The Year Award and maintains its killer status upon the most discerning dance floors. King has also scored and underscored music for films, TV series and commercials (Miami Vice, Rolex, Mini, and True Blood) while in 2007 he became the first DJ to be awarded The Pew Fellowship – one of the most prestigious grants for creative arts in U.S. King is also a Creative Cultural Ambassador for his hometown of Philadelphia. King Britt’s vision of Mulatu involves the consumption of sacred herbs and lots of reverb.
